If there is one thing I hate about running in the desert other than the heat, its how dirty and dry my mouth an eyes get. Dirt is everywhere here, go figure, and it never fails that after a run I have a mouthful of dirt cavities. Its not attractive.
When prepping for the Las Vegas Spartan Super Race someone in the West Coast Spartans group mentioned bring a bandana and I was like, of course! Why have I never thought of that?! Ironically, I had been offered a Hoo-Rag bandana in exchange for an honest review the week before but I knew it wouldn’t be here in time so I ordered 2 bandanas for $6-7 each on Amazon at the last minute.
Sadly, the two bandanas from Amazon didn’t get here when they were suppose to so we had to leave for Vegas without them and brave the dirt cavities that awaited us. When we got back home my Hoo-Rag came a couple of days later. Hoo-Rag has tons of cute designs and I was thrilled when mine looked as cute as it did online. Now you may be wondering, why is she so excited about a bandana? Let me tell you why.
Hoo-Rag’s are not like your normal square bandana; they are a single, tubular bandana that you can wear a variety of different ways and they come in different prints for women and women. I put my Totemly Awesome Hoo-Rag to the test wearing it all the different ways it claims and had no problem with any of them. I decided to take it for a run in the desert to see how well it would hold up and it didn’t amazing! The fabric is stretchy but not so much that it falls off, it stays tight enough to do its job without being uncomfortable. I also wore it around yesterday as a head band and it stayed in place all day which is a miracle.
The Hoo-Rag has now become my new favorite workout and running accessory. I also just noticed that they have released Half Hoo’s which would be perfect for using as just a head band as well. I’m in love with the Beautiful Disaster print too so I’m probably going to order that in a Half Hoo next!
Since I have fallen so hard for such a cute piece of fabric, Hoo-Rag has allowed me to giveaway an additional Totemly Awesome Hoo-Rag Bandana to one of you lucky readers. Enter below and good luck!
I will wear it while running.
I would totally wear it as a headband!
My hair is to short to wear in a ponytail while running. I’m always looking for headbands to keep it out of my face while running. I think this bandana would work wonderfully.
