When I was originally looking for a yoga mat all I could find were really cute prints without straps and solid colors with straps. Nothing was more aggravating and no matter how many stores I went to, this was the case. I eventually decided on a chevron print yoga mat because I figured I could live without the strap. Now a year later, I wish I had gotten the mat with a strap since its much easy to transport and you don’t have to worry about it coming unrolled.
Lucky enough for me, I stumbled upon the Clever Yoga Mat Strap and couldn’t believe there was such a product. I know, maybe I’m gullible and I obviously don’t practice yoga with a studio or group so I was out of the loop. Since I’ve never used a mat strap before I can’t compare this one to any other one but I will say I am stoked that I found the Clever Yoga Mat Strap!
What’s so special about this particular yoga mat strap? Well for starters its 100% cotton so if you ever need to wash it, you can just throw it in the washing machine. Next its super sturdy, so much so that I decided to use it as stretching straps during yoga for certain poses. Though I’m sure it isn’t recommended, I would almost consider using it like TRX straps for my feet. Lastly, its adjustable to any size mat you have from thick to thin. Now that is a great idea. I could use one for my pilates mat. It came with a zippered case, but it’s such a pain taking it off and putting it back on. I would much prefer being able to use a strap like this!

This is a really cool and easy way to carry a yoga mat! It would make taking it to places far less a hassle, I will show this to those I know who love yoga.

Yoga is so fun. It’s so weird that they sell yoga mats without straps. You’d think that would just be a given. I’m glad you found a high-quality strap to carry your mat.
