Everyone knows that I love a good obstacle race, the mud, the tricky obstacles, the commodore, I love it all. Though I’ve been a little quiet this year with my runs, I’m always up for a challenge. Tough Mudder is one of the few OCRs I simply haven’t had a chance to conquer yet until now.
While Tough Mudder will be making its way throughout the country for 2017, they are now offering the new Tough Mudder Half. This means that those of you who were wanting to run it but was concerned about the distance, you now have that option!
The Tough Mudder Full is a 10-12 mile mud and obstacle course designed to drag you out of your comfort zone by testing your physical strength, stamina, and mental grit. With no podiums, winners, or clocks to race against, it’s not about how fast you can cross the finish line. Rather, it’s a challenge that emphasizes teamwork, camaraderie, and accomplishing something almost as tough as you are.
The Tough Mudder Half isn’t a race either. It’s a challenge. It’s 5 miles of mud and obstacles designed to test teamwork and grit. With Tough Mudder Half, you’ll get the ultimate social experience, out here, beyond the ordinary. It’s your first step toward joining a community of 2 million strong around the world who’ve already found camaraderie on the course. With the help of your fellow Mudders, you’ll overcome mud-drenched obstacles, adrenaline-pumping challenges…and the little voice in your head that says “you can’t.”
Both options of Mudders comes with a headband, performance finisher tee, beer(21+), and insurance so what are you waiting for?! Run solo or grab a group of friends to conquer the beast. Want something more? From now until December 31, you can use the code “ToughMudderGiftUS2016” to snag 15% off any full or half Tough Mudder. That means more spending money at the merch tent afterwards. See you out there in the mud!
That is so cool! I’ve often thought about doing Tough Mudder, but it’s always seemed too long. I will definitely try this.
I have not done a race like this before!! Love that they came out with a new race length options for those who don’t want to do the full amount.
This looks like so much fun! I would definitely want to take a shower followed by a long hot bath afterward. lol
I would also have to choose one of the shorter races hee-hee! My son would love this!
I am not up for this kind of race, but it sure looks fun. I will share this with my friends who love to run.
This is awesome race.. I find these very tiring but all will have so much fun and enjoy..
I have never done or seen a race like Tough Mudder’s before. However I know my friend would just love this. I am sharing this with her,
This looks like a great challenge to work towards. I think it would be fun but would take a lot of prep!
This looks like a super fun race. I really wish that I could do something like this but unfortunately I have a few health problems that would prevent me from participating. Plus, I haven’t tried running yet since my back surgery almost a year ago.
That looks like a lot of fun. This is something I’d love to do. What a great time that would be!
This looks incredible. I know a few people that would love to experience this. I will have to share this post with them.
Now this looks like one tough run!!!! I have a few friends that do this every year!
This is such a cool idea!! I’ve heard of these but I’ve never tried one. It seems like a great time for sure!
What a fun event! My sister does these a lot – they seem like a great time for sure! Thanks for sharing – maybe I’ll look to do one in the spring!
It looks like a takes a tough mudder to run this obstacle course. LOL! ^yolonda
This is amazing that this challenge will be attainable by even more. The half is exactly what is needed for those of us that could never imagine the original challenge.
I would love to do this challenge with my friends. Seems that we’ll have so much fun doing this challenge..
Looks like such a tough race to compete in. My boys would love it though. They will try to outsmart each other and I will just be in the sidelines, taking photos and enjoying the event.
I have never done a run or a challenge. However, I think if I did, I would rather do a challenge that focuses on teamwork and multiple areas of strength than a run.
Sounds like a cool challenge but also tough race! I dont think i can do this 🙁
In 2016, we introduced two new headbands for Mudders and had our first 1 Mudder cross the finish line.
